Master Planning – VISN 17 - South Texas HCS, El Paso HCS, Amarillo HCS, and West Texas HCS 504-22-801

The design team is providing all necessary architectural and engineering (A/E) services to prepare complete contract design drawings, specifications, technical reports, and cost estimates and provide construction period services to renovate the SCIU, approximately 16,200 SF. The renovation of patient rooms modernizes the unit and converts 4 patient rooms to 1 & 2 patient rooms. This includes renovation of halls and walls of the SCIU wing to meet infectious disease control and safety standards in the clinical workspace while presenting an updated, attractive appearance. The A/E is collaborating with medical staff to maximize the number of patient rooms and adding a sufficient number of negative air pressure rooms while completely renovating the ward.
